With the statement "The maritime industry is Norway's greatest source of economic growth after  oil and gas. On an annual basis, it creates more than NOK 130 billion in value and provides direct employment for some 100,000 people…." Sturla Henriksen, the Director General Norwegian Shipowners' Association, introduces this year's "Norwegian Shipping" publication.

The book pays a tribute to the Norwegian shipping industry and the technological innovations that have shaped it. It contains editorial information around how the sector has developed in Norway and presents many of the companies that have made this possible.

ECC is grouped under the Software and Electronics category and presented on page 192 of the publication. "Norwegian Shipping" is distributed free of charge throughout the world and is available at a number of important trade fairs and conferences related to the shipping industry.
