On Thursday 27th October 2011 ECC successfully completed its annual ISO 9001 certification review.

Two representatives from ROLI Certification AS, a certified 3rd party inspection - and certification body, spent the day with ECC employees reviewing the quality management systems within the business.

ISO 9000 is a collection of standards for quality management (quality management systems) and is maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).  Work on developing the ISO standards in Norway is headed up by Standards Norway (SN), who also provide translation and publication in Norwegian.

The most important standard in the ISO 9000 collection is perhaps the ISO 9001. This is a process oriented approach which includes quality management, product design, customer management, document control, internal training, internal audit and management review. ISO 9001 can be used for the certification of organizations.
