Background

NaVida Professional provides the ultimate mobile awareness for tactical operations and strategic planning for a variety of users such as port authorities, coastal administrations, inland waterway authorities, offshore operators, para-military and military organisations. It provides the user with the same chart image as that shown in office-locations, VTS operation centres etc.

Description

NaVida Professional simply requires the addition of shore-based Web Map Services (WMS), network communication such as GSM 3G etc and a smartphone or tablet.

It provides the user with a spectrum of background charts including Norway raster charts, Norway topographic maps, OpenStreetMap and ENC (WMS). Live positioning information such as AIS, radar and met & hydro data is also shown as an additional layer on the chosen charts.
 

Users can search for vessel information based on the vessel name or IMO number. The search then generates a list of vessels, with the selected vessel centered on the chart.  

NaVida Professional has a simple user interface with a multitude of functionality aimed to contribute to the user's efficiency. This includes a GPS function so that the user can view own position and direction on the chart, simple navigation with touch (zoom/pan), name search on Geonames, bookmark function for quick navigation to a specific geographic area, e-mail functionality to share images of routes with relevant authorities and pre-load functionality if the user is intending to use NaVida in an area without network access.

NaVida Professional is available through AppStore. The users are provided with a username and password which enables them to see the available data information layers. It is also possible to request a rebranded version of NaVida Professional which will display your organisation's logo and general branding.

To display ENC layers and other chart data, NaVida Professional requires GeoView WMS.
